CFCS offers at no charge, to anyone, of any faith, who has cremated remains at home or is considering scattering, the dignified committal of the remains at any of our cemeteries. The committal will occur at the All Souls Remembrance Crypt and then the remains will be permanently interred within the consecrated grounds of the Catholic Cemetery

With the Mother Teresa Program, CFCS is able to give back to the community by ensuring that those in need in our community receive sacred and dignified funeral, cremation and cemetery services.

This unique program allows for graves or crypts already owned by families to be transformed into a family estate. Depending on the grave or crypt selected, a number of cremated remains can typically be added. The plot will serve as a family’s final gathering place, allowing family members who have lived apart to be together on their final journey.

This program provides caring funeral and cemetery financial support for those who have suffered the loss of a child. The program also provides sacred interment services in the Order of Christian Funerals, for hospitals within the community, for the death of an unborn child at any of our Catholic Cemeteries.

The Catholic Funeral Rites in the Order of Christian Funerals are a celebration of faith that enables loved ones and the community to mourn by focusing on the promise of everlasting life and the hope of resurrection in Christ. Woven into the context of the funeral rites is an abundance of Catholic symbols and metaphors that convey the dramatic journey from baptism to redemption through Christ.

Calvary cemetery, the largest Catholic cemetery in Toledo in terms of interments, sits on 140 acres of beautiful rolling land in the very heart of Toledo.
Its central location makes it easily accessible from two major thoroughfares and it stands prominent among many other treasures of the Diocese of Toledo. Founded in 1886 as the burial place for the dead of all congregations of the city, the cemetery today has recorded over 106,000 interments, including the former Governor of the State of Ohio, Michael V. DiSalle.
Attributes include a beautiful Rotunda Mausoleum with 800 crypts and a chapel with a seating capacity for 200. Scattered throughout the rolling terrain are 16 personal/family mausoleums, 4 infant sections, 4 veterans' sections, and a beautiful Veterans Memorial that was completed in 1999.
Following the 4 miles of winding roadway you will come upon religious sections for the Little Sisters of the Poor, Ursuline Sisters, Sisters of Notre Dame and deceased Bishops from the Diocese of Toledo.
From a memorialization standpoint, it is hard to miss the 28' family monument located in section 7, or the beautiful shrine in section 9, commemorating the many Priests and former Bishops buried nearby. Toledo Calvary Cemetery is truly a most fitting resting place for current or former Catholics from the Diocese of Toledo.
